What Abby Tools is built on
The three parts Leslie teaches.
Abby Tools helps you write a goal statement from scratch or reviews the one you have — in the three parts Leslie teaches: your Long-Term Life’s Purpose, a Short-Term Goal that actually connects to it, and a Bite-sized Piece you can date and check off.
You can bring it scattered thoughts or a finished draft.
Who Abby Tools is for
For the goal you can’t get onto paper.
Abby Tools is for you when you know roughly what you want but can’t get it onto paper. When you wrote a goal and it doesn’t move you. When you’re not sure whether it’s a real stretch or just a to-do list.

Here is what people ask it.
Getting started
Before you write
Don’t know where to start? Give it the messy version.
- Ask me questions that will help me discover what I really want.
It walks you through contribution, relationships, character, lifestyle, feelings, and the problem your shorter-term goals are meant to solve.
- Help me write my goal statement from scratch.
Give it rough thoughts about the life you want, what you want in the next few months or years, and one immediate stretch goal. It shapes them into the three sections.
- These are my scattered thoughts. Help me turn them into a Long-Term Life’s Purpose, Short-Term Goal, and Bite-sized Piece without losing what I mean.
The messy version gives it more to work with than a polished one.
Each part
Check each part
- Is my Long-Term Life’s Purpose written correctly?
It checks whether it reads like you’re looking back from the end of your life, and whether it covers accomplishments, relationships, contribution, character, and how you feel about it. Leslie teaches this section in past tense.
- Does my short-term goal actually connect to my life purpose?
Or is it just something you happen to want?
- Help me create a good bite-sized goal.
Tell it your short-term goal and what feels hard right now. It helps you shape something dated, check-offable, and connected — and challenging enough to need help beyond what you control.
- Does this goal require Rare Faith, or is it too easy?
Rare Faith is Leslie’s term for a stretch beyond your own control. For when you can’t tell whether your bite-sized piece is a genuine step of faith or just an action item.
Wording
Sharpen the wording
- Find weak or sabotaging wording in my goal.
Phrases like “able to,” future tense, vague “have been” constructions, and language that dwells on what you don’t want.
- Make this goal more measurable without changing my voice.
Especially for “I grew my business,” “I became healthier,” “I strengthened my relationships.” What would let you say, yes, that happened?
- My goal is about money. Help me improve it.
It looks past the dollar amount to the purpose of the money, or the problem it solves.
- Help me make my goal feel more vivid and emotional.
When it’s technically correct but doesn’t move you. It strengthens the gratitude, joy, relief, contribution, and relationships in the language without changing your intent.
- Am I accidentally setting a goal for somebody else?
Goals about how another person should behave get redirected to your own inspired actions and influence.
- Here are three versions of my goal. Which one fits the principles best?
Line-by-line comparison, with the reasons.
The full review
Once you have a complete draft
- Please conduct a full Goal Statement Review on this:
— then paste all three sections. You get strengths, refinements, a rewrite with the suggested changes marked inline, and the reason behind every recommendation.
Then take it to God. A goal you can believe is a goal you can pray over.
What Abby Tools is not
It doesn’t choose your goal — you do.
It helps you write it clearly enough to believe, take to God, and act on.
SowGood has been a game changer for me. It’s helped me shift my mindset, stay focused on what truly matters, and trust the process as I work toward my goals. I’ve gained clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of purpose.
